Raleigh, N.C. — A workshop will be held Nov. 8 to educate local leaders on how to renovate vacant buildings.
The North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center and the Construction Professionals Network will bring state leaders in the design and construction industries to lead the daylong workshop on renovating vacant buildings at the Rural Center in Raleigh.
Topics covered will include the finances, permit and marketing issue that arise in revitalization projects, as well as environmental, condition and cost assessments. A spokeswoman for the Rural Center said a similar workshop was held in the spring, which sold out quickly.
The workshop will cost $15, including lunch. The fee is payable at the door, and reservations are required.
To reserve a spot, email ctieman@ncruralcenter.org or call (919) 250-4314.
