DURHAM, N.C. — A man was taken to a hospital after he fell into the side of a police car.
Authorities said a police cruiser was turning onto Raynor Street from Holloway Street around 6:15 a.m. Monday when 84-year-old Euria David Tilley tripped on the curb and fell toward one of the cruisers.
Police said Tilley hit a door, fell backward and hit his head on the curb. According to police, he was conscious when paramedics arrived at the scene.
Tilley was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of minor head and leg injuries. No charges were filed in the accident.
