RALEIGH, N.C. — A second paramedic is taking action in the case of a man who was mistakenly declared dead.
Paul Kilmer has filed a petition to get his job back. He was one of two paramedics who responded to a 911 call in January.
Larry Donnell Green was hit by a car in Franklin County and was pronounced dead on the scene. Several hours later, the medical examiner realized Green was alive. Green is still in the hospital.
After the incident, Kilmer and Randy Kearney's credentials were suspended. Kearney is also trying to get his job back.
