HENDERSON, N.C. — Police in Henderson are investigating a deadly shooting.
The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Maple Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found 22-year-old Lajuan Wilkins with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to authorities, three black males had come to the house and committed the shootings. They said the men left in a gray 4-door Buick with shiny wheel covers. Investigators are searching for the vehicle and suspects.
Another person in the house, 37-year-old Joe Nell Macon, had a gunshot would to the leg. He was taken to the hospital, but his injury is not considered life-threatening.
