RALEIGH, N.C. — A Hoke County dog is on the road to recovery.
Scurlock recently underwent surgery at the North Carolina State Veterinary School.
About a week ago, someone dropped him off at the Raeford Hoke Humane Society. His legs were shattered, and he was shot.
After WRAL ran a story on Scurlock, viewers donated about $1,500 for the surgery.
Scurlock is headed back to the animal shelter where he is still looking for a new home.
