DURHAM, N.C. — A 14-year-old girl and her father face charges for a serious accident in Durham.
Police say the teen was behind the wheel when she crashed into a van on Barbee Road near I-40 Thursday morning around 7:30.
The van's driver is recovering from surgery this morning.
The girl and her father were not seriously hurt.
The father was charged with allowing an unlicensed minor to drive. The girl faces charges of driving without a permit and driving left of center.
