RALEIGH, N.C. — A former North Carolina CIA contractor is speaking out. He said he was made a scapegoat for the military.
David Passaro is charged with the death of a prisoner in Afghanistan. He said the Pentagon is trying to save face after the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal.
The Lillington resident denies any role in the death of the prisoner.
If convicted, Passaro could get a maximum of 40 years in prison.
