RALEIGH, N.C. — Another developer has offered a site for a modular campus for Wakefield Elementary students.
The nine-acre plot, which is being offered by developer Craig Davis, sits off U.S. 1 near the Wakefield community.
Details are still being worked out.
Parents don't like the school system's option of busing 150 children to the DuBois Center in Wake Forest for two years while a permanent school is being built.
The school board didn't like the site offered up on Queensland Road for free by a developer because it would have cost too much to develop.
Both sides meet on Wednesday to talk about the new site.
