APEX, N.C. — City officials gave preliminary thumbs-down for a proposed development project in Apex.
A developer wants to turn the Old Seagrove Tobacco Farm into a subdivision.
Opponents in nearby neighborhoods say there are already enough homes and traffic in the area.
They want to put a park there instead.
Monday night, the planning board recommended that town commissioners vote it down.
The commissioners will discuss it next month.
