RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh mother only spent five months in jail for the beating death of her three-month-old baby.
Susan Gallardo pleaded guilty Monday to involuntary manslaughter.
In August, Gallardo told police she was frustrated when she threw her baby Alexis across a room.
Alexis died of a skull fracture.
Gallardo received a suspended sentence and will have to undergo counseling.
