HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A woman died after being thrown from a car in a crash on I-85.
The wreck happened just outside Hillsborough in Orange County.
Janet Oliver, 49, was traveling with a church group from Greensboro.
Highway patrol said the car she was riding in was forced off the road, and hit a tree.
Oliver landed outside the car.
She died at Duke Medical Center.
Nancy Webb of Salisbury changed lanes and forced the vehicle Oliver was riding in off the road, authorities said.
Charges are pending against Webb, authorities said.
