WAKE COUNTY — Family and friends of Deputy Mark Tucker held a memorial service for the fallen deputy on Saturday afternoon. Tucker was killed one year ago off Holly Springs Road, near Apex.
Saturday's memorial service was held where Tucker was gunned down. The site is now the location of the Southwest Wake YMCA.
Matthew Grant was convicted of first degree murder for Tucker's death.
