CARY, N.C. — Two people pleaded guilty Thursday in the stabbing death of a Cary woman.
Karla Chavez was found stabbed to death behind her apartment complex on Wrenn Drive in August.
Maria Mena and Roberto Galvez were sentenced to up to seven years in prison.
The assistant district attorney said the state simply did not have enough evidence to charge the pair with murder.
