RALEIGH, N.C. — Several people say they have lost their federal housing subsidy without good reason.
The Raleigh Housing Authority provides 3,300 subsidies to renters in and around the city. Some tenants say the RHA is cutting them off without due process.
The tenants believe as many as 800 people may be in the same boat.
The attorney for the RHA says the complaints are without merit. He said the group has the legal right to pull subsidies from people who do not follow the federal guidelines.
