GRANVILLE COUNTY, N.C. — A woman survived a collision with a logging truck trailer that tore the roof off her car Wednesday morning.
Authorities say a truck, which did not have a load on its trailer, pulled in front of a car on Cannady Mills Road at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of the truck told the North Carolina Highway Patrol that he blew his horn and flashed his lights to alert the car that was traveling in the opposite direction.
Authorities say Antoinette Roberts, of Kittrell, did not see the empty trailer, which straddled the road. The car went under the trailer, slashing the roof off the car.
Troopers say Roberts suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
