JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A man wanted for allegedly writing bad checks now faces charges for leading authorities on a high-speed chase through Johnston County.

The chase, which reached speeds of 110 mph, ended in a Hardees Parking lot in Princeton off Highway 70.

Troopers say James Thomas Uzzle III was forced to pull over after they placed stop sticks in the road.

No one was hurt. The chase spanned the area between Wilson Mills and Princeton on Highway 70 eastbound, lasting about 15 minutes. Outstanding warrants for Uzzle include forgery of an instrument and writing worthless checks.
