ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Some passenger trains serving North Carolina will be disrupted because of a fire Monday morning on a Norfolk Southern freight train near Hillsborough.
Orange County authorities say one of the train's three engines caught fire at 5:45 a.m.
Fire crews put out the flames just before 7 a.m. They believe it started with an electrical problem. The crew escaped safely.
There will be some delays and service changes. Customers with questions about train schedules and tickets should call their local Amtrak station or
