RALEIGH, N.C. — No one was injured Wednesday when the crew of a North Carolina Army National Guard OH-58 helicopter made a precautionary landing after a caution light came on in the cockpit.

The pilot and co-pilot, the only two people on board the aircraft, declared the emergency at approximately 2 p.m. as they returned from a routine training mission.

The helicopter was landed safely in a field one mile west of the North Carolina National Guard's Army Aviation Flight Facility at RDU International Airport.

The aircraft appears to have suffered no damage. The cause of the problem is under investigation.
