DURHAM — More than 600 Duke Power customers woke up to no power Sunday morning in Durham. High winds caused a tree to fall on a line near the Chancellor's Ridge subdivision. That's near the Streets at Southpoint. Power at the mall was not affected.
Duke Power crews responded the outage immediately, and power was restored to all residents by 8:30 a.m.
Duke Power, Progress Energy, and the N.C. Electric Co-operatives have no major outages at this time and crews do not expect to have any additional weather-related power issues this weekend.
