RALEIGH, N.C. — Some areas are experiencing icy road conditions due to ice and snow. Crews are working to treat the roadways.
Roadways in the following areas are currently affected:
Interstate conditions are as follows:
I-40: Clear except in Raleigh/Durham areas, where it is partially covered with snow and ice. I-85: Clear except north of Durham and near through the Virginia state line (Durham, Vance and Warren counties) where it is clear with possible icy spots. I-95: Clear except between Wilson and Rocky Mount (Wilson and Nash counties) where it is clear with possible icy spots.
The state Department of Transportation is using motorists to avoid traveling in those areas to allow crews to treat roadways.
