DURHAM, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the Guess Road entrance ramp (Exit 175) on northbound Interstate 85 Wednesday at 10 p.m., if weather permits.
Also during that time, one lane of northbound I-85 will intermittently be closed, with one lane open at all times.
Motorists traveling North on Guess Road should use the following signed detour: I-85 South to Hillandale Road (Exit 174) to I-85 North
Motorists traveling South on Guess Road should use the following signed detour: Club Boulevard to Duke Street to I-85 North
The closures will be in place until Thursday at 6 a.m., and it will be necessary to shift traffic onto temporary lanes as part of the I-85 widening project.
The NCDOT reminds motorists to watch for signs for construction information, stay alert, and obey the posted speed limit.
