Man Takes $50,000 From Superior Court, Authorities Say

MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — A local court system didn't have to go far to find a suspected thief.

Rocky Snelling is in jail and is accused of stealing $50,000 from Moore County Superior Court.

Investigators first discovered the money was missing last month.

Authorities believe that Snelling apparently got the court's account number from a check his dad received for serving on a jury.
