RALEIGH, N.C. — A man accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering a 5-year-old girl can have access to 4,000 pages of evidence against him.
A judge agreed with Eric Lane's request because he is now representing himself.
Lane is accused of killing Precious Whitfield in May 2002. Her body was found in a creek near the Airport Road bridge.
The paperwork issue will delay the trial again.
