HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — A former state trooper who tried to kill his wife is now in Hoke County.
Bobby Regan will serve his sentence at the Hoke Correctional Institution.
Officials said most former law enforcement officers go there for security reasons.
A Person County jury convicted Regan in December of attempted murder. He will spend between 13 years and 16 years behind bars.
