Fort Bragg Soldier Charged With Felony Child Abuse

Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville authorities have charged a Fort Bragg soldier with abusing his 3-month-old daughter.

Investigators arrested Donald Six, 20, Tuesday and charged him with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.

According to investigators, Six and his wife took their child to Womack Army Medical Center on Jan. 10. Authorities said the child's injuries were consistent with those of shaken baby syndrome.

Because of the child’s condition, she was transported to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where she is listed in serious condition.

Six is in jail on $100,000 unsecured bond.

3 months is the prime age where the cry at night for hours with some mystery cause... it can be very frustrating. And it doesn't take a lot of shaking to cause damage. He may of only shook her 1 or two times.... and lately it seems like it's always young dads like from age 17 to 25. Sounds like boys need more parental guidance before they become a parent.

This man shouldn't be a father. I pray that this innocent baby pulls through and goes on to have a fulfilling life. Just like the "back to sleep" campaign educating new parents on the prevention of SIDS, there needs to be a national campaign on shaken baby syndrome. PLEASE, if anyone out there feels they are about to lose it with their baby, contact me. I'm NOT a professional, but as a mother of three (the youngest being 8 months) I know the frustrations that new parents can experience raising a baby and I could at least offer emotional support to anyone out there. We should pray for this 3 month old's recovery.

LET SIX COME BACK TO WORK WE WILL DEAL WITH HIM BEFORE THE LEGAL SYSTEM, LET THEM HAVE THEIR WAY, AND THEN LET THE GOOD OLE BOYS IN LENARDWORTH HAVE HIM.

Unfortunately, I believe spirit has the solution. This may be the only way to educate, prepare, and get information in the hands of individuals to end this. The sad fact is that the baby may of only wanted to burp, eat, or to be held!
