WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A tractor-trailer driver has been charged in a fatal wreck at the intersection of Ten Ten and Rhodes roads in Wake County on Monday.
The driver was charged with failure to yield and death by vehicle.
Police said the driver of a tractor-trailer pulled out in front of an SUV, causing the collision.
The SUV ended up under the tractor-trailer. The driver, Maria Garcia, 41, of Raleigh, died at the scene.
One passenger was taken to WakeMed for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two others walked away with no injuries.
