Fort Bragg, NC — A portion of the water main supplying drinking water from Fort Bragg's water treatment plant to Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base broke New Year's Eve.
The break on Pope Aire Force Base was reported around 10:00pm New Year's Eve. Crews repaired the break around 11 Saturday morning.
The cause of the break is not known at this time.
Portions of Fort Bragg including housing and offices in the Main Post and 82nd Airborne Division areas, and all of Pope AFB may notice decreased water pressure for the remainder of the weekend. The water is safe to drink.
