CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County is handling much more than returning troops.
The county has had a record number of people file for marriage licenses -- its highest number in five years.
Couples are swamping the county's license office with as many as 30 a day.
Officials credit the recent boom to the war in Iraq. Marriages were put off when it started and are being squeezed in between deployments.
