print friendly

Slick roads are blamed for an accident that sent a Virginia man to a local hospital on Sunday.

The man was hit by a car while working on his vehicle on Interstate 40 near Harrison Avenue just after noon.

Authorities said a Cary woman lost control of her car while merging onto I-40 and slid into the man. He is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities do not plan to file charges.
