Raleigh, N.C. — Police canvassed a Raleigh neighborhood Thursday looking for information about a shooting that injured a 4-year-old boy in his bedroom Wednesday night.
Investigators said someone fired gunshots outside a home at 2423 Melvid Court around 11:30 p.m. and that bullets went flying into the upstairs bedrooms of two apartments.
The bullet grazed the boy's lip, police said, but he was not seriously injured.
No one was in the room in the other apartment.
Investigators spent Thursday morning questioning neighbors for leads and passing out fliers in the neighborhood.
