Crews Search Underwater For Missing Mother, Granddaughter

KINSTON, N.C. — The search for a woman and her teenage grandaughter went underwater Tuesday.

Rescue crews dragged several lakes in Lenoir County. They are looking for Gail Haddock-Dail and her 15-year-old granddaughter, Heather Roberts.

The two left on a trip to Virginia one week ago.

Police say Dail called her husband shortly after they left, saying her car was in water.

So far, aerial and river searches have turned up nothing.
