HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — One county has a plan to get rid of abandoned mobile homes.

Harnett County is willing to help foot the bill. Officials said they will pick up part of the tab if people haul away empty trailers from their land.

County leaders put $90,000 in the budget for the program.

Planners scoped out two of the county's townships and found more than 100 deserted homes. They have 11 townships to go.
