RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh's Clay Aiken is back in town and his fans were offered a special treat on Monday.

Hundreds of Clayniacs lined up at Triangle Town Center early Monday for the chance to meet Aiken at a book signing at Barnes and Noble.

Many people spent the night outside the mall, some having arrived as early as 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The book store gave out 300 wristbands. Those lucky enough to get one were able to enter the store and have Aiken autograph a copy or copies of his book, "Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life."

About 50 people were turned away.

Aiken's homecoming includes a pair of sold-out shows at Raleigh's BTI Center.
