Service Scheduled Friday For Broadcast Pioneer Wilkinson

RALEIGH, N.C. — Family and friends will honor the memory of a trusted friend and broadcast pioneer on Friday.
Ray Wilkinson died on Saturday. he was 79.
Wilkinsonwas an award-winning agriculture reporter on radio and television. Many will remember him for his "Cecil and Leonard" stories.
Colleagues described Wilkinson as a walking encyclopedia of farm facts. Farmers recognized him as their voice, their friend and champion.
A visitation and memory service will take place to at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home on Wake Forest Road between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
