DURHAM, N.C. — Police are asking for information about a sexual assault that was reported early Sunday in the 700 block of Liberty Street.
A 37-year-old female told officers that a man raped her inside an abandoned house at 706 Liberty Street before 6 a.m.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- to late 30s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 175 pounds. He had a short afro and a medium-toned complexion.
Anyone with information is asked to call Durham police at (919) 560-4440 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
