DURHAM, N.C. — The owner of the Starlite Drive-in has bigger and better plans for the old theater.
Bob Groves plans to be back in business by the first of the year. Groves said he wants to operate the theater seven days a week instead of three days a week.
The Starlite burned down in August. Investigators believe a hot muffler from a lawnmower started the fire.
Groves is hosting several events to raise money to complete repairs.
