Man Indicted In Case Of Truck Hitting Restaurant

Posted Updated

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A truck driver, who investigators say smashed into a restaurant this past summer, was indicted Monday for the deadly wreck.

A Harnett County grand jury indicted David Brachear on five charges including involuntary manslaughter.

State troopers say Brachear was speeding and not paying attention when he plowed into Peggy's Restaurant in July.

The owner's son was killed and several others were hurt.
