Charges Dropped Against Asst. Raleigh City Manager

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh's assistant city manager is in the clear after charges were dismissed against him.

A contempt of court charge against Lawrence Wray has been dropped.

A judge sentenced him to 20 days in jail because Wray ignored an order to turn over financial information related to his divorce.

Wray never went to jail, he got sick and ended up in the hospital. He and his ex-wife have since worked out a settlement, so a judge dismissed the charge.
