CHAPEL HILL , N.C. — The Chapel Hill Town Council will consider banning gas-powered leaf blowers on Monday.
In September, councilman Cam Hill submitted a petition expressing concerns over air quality and noise pollution.
The Town Council referred the petition to the town staff to prepare for public review and input.
Landscapers say a ban would mean higher labor costs and those costs would be passed on to customers.
