FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County district attorney's office wants to know what Michelle Theer's sister and mother told reporters outside the courtroom.
Theer is accused of killing her husband, Air Force Capt. Marty Theer, after having an affair with another man, John Diamond.
Theer's mother and sister talked to WRAL Thursday outside the courthouse. On Friday, those interviews were subpoenaed by the Cumberland County district attorney. The district attorney's office would not talk about a motive.
A lawyer not linked to the case said prosecutors may want the interview to cross-examine the mother and sister or to see if they are guilty of contempt of court.
