RALEIGH, N.C. — The

Raleigh City Council

is looking for people who want to serve.

Early next year, Janet Cowell and Neal Hunt will leave the council for the State Senate. On Tuesday, Mayor Charles Meeker called for an open process in finding their replacements.

Anyone who wants the job can submit a letter of interest.

A special meeting will be held in December when remaining council members will vote on Cowell and Hunt's replacements.
