CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Fire destroyed a home located outside Pittsboro early Monday morning.
Firefighters received the call to the home at 250 Guthrie Road just after 4 a.m. When they arrived, crews sais the home was already a total loss.
The Haden family had just returned from University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill where their daughter was being treated for seizures.
They came home to find out they lost everything. Firefighters said nothing was salvageable.
The fire marshal said it may take a few days to determine what started the fire.
The family, who was insured, said they will rely on help from their church to get by.
