FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — The Swanson versus Swanson battle in Franklin County has been decided.
Democrat Robert Swanson won the county Commissioner seat with 65 percent of the vote.
He was up against Joe Swanson. Robert Swanson says they're cousins, but Joe Swanson disagrees.
The big issue in the race materialized when Joe Swanson accused Robert of switching license plates between two cars to avoid paying taxes.
Robert Swanson apologized for the switch and bought a new license plate.
