Two Raleigh City Councilors Headed To State Senate

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two of the Raleigh City Council's

at-large members

are headed to the General Assembly.

Republican Neal Hunt picked up the N.C. Senate District 15 seat. He has served on the Raleigh City Council since 2001.

Democrat Janet Cowell won the N.C. Senate District 16 seat. She has also served on the City Council since 2001.

The city attorney tells WRAL that remaining council members will pick their replacements.
