Group Works Polls To Get Former County Manager Rehired

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A grassroots group took advantage of Election Day to help get the former Durham County manager rehired.

Members of Concerned Citizens for Accountable Government staked out polling places Tuesday.

They asked voters to sign a petition asking the newly-elected Board of Commissioners to rehire Mike Ruffin.

Ruffin was fired in September after four years on the job.
