DURHAM, N.C. — A jury has found a former Durham school bus driver accused of sexually assaulting a young boy not guilty.
Mario Elam was charged with molesting a 15-year-old boy last year.
The teenager told investigators Elam picked him up in his personal car after the boy had missed the bus. He claimed Elam drove him to a parking lot on Junction Road and assaulted him.
Elam, who has no previous record, could have faced 10 years in prison if convicted.
