FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man who was struck by two vehicles died at the scene Sunday night.
Police said Lee Melvin Jr. was struck at the intersection of Cumberland and Camden roads at about 7:30 p.m.
The first vehicle that struck Melvin was a 1998 GMC van driven by Freddie Britt. The force of this impact threw Melvin into the path of an oncoming vehicle, a 1999 Lincoln being driven by Evelyn Wilson.
The investigation is ongoing, but so far, officials said neither driver faces charges.
