Lighted Message Boards Going Up Along Durham Freeway

RALEIGH, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation is working to ease traffic in the Triangle.

The DOT is installing lighted message boards along the Durham Freeway. Six boards will go up between mile markers 6 and 14.

The signs will include information about accidents, road work and traffic backups.

Drivers can expect lane closings while workers put up the boards.
