Four Injured After Altercation At Harnett County Party

Posted Updated

BUNNLEVEL, N.C. — Harnett County deputies are looking for four men they believe are responsible for an incident that left four people injured, including a pregnant woman.

The incident happened outside a trailer at Duckbill Lane in Bunnlevel. Authorities say a party was being held early Sunday morning when things turned violent.

"There was a crowd of about 200 people in the area. It's been described as possibly an illegal club down there and the altercation started over a girlfriend issue," said Harnett County Sheriff Larry Rollins.

Authorities say Ricky Chance was stabbed at the party. He is listed in critical condition at the hospital. A pregnant woman, 23-year-old Jessica Owens, is in stable condition, but doctors are concerned about her baby.

Other victims included a 16-year-old girl who attends Triton High School and a man with minor wounds. They have been released from the hospital.

Three men from Sanford are wanted by police -- Reginald Love Jr, Willie Love and Jackie Owens Jr. Police believe another man was involved as well. The sheriff said the men targeted the stabbing victim and got away in his car.

"Commit the crime. You have got to have wheels to leave the scene and that's what happened. [They] took the victim's car to do that," Rollins said.

Deputies say the suspects were driving a 1999 Nissan Altima.
