Man Accused Of Breaking Into Deceased Woman's Home

HENDERSON, N.C. — A grieving family is dealing with more than the loss of their loved one.

When members of Katie Poythress' family returned to her home Wednesday, they saw a burglar climbing out of the window.

Relatives and police gave chase. Eventually, they were able to catch 33-year-old William Bassett.

Poythress, 87, was found dead a week ago near a wooded area of Vance County.
